THE INDUSTRY’S BEST 2024 Airport Experience Awards Finalists Revealed; Winners To Be Announced At AXC Gala

Each year, the AX Awards are given to those that exemplify the best in the airport concessions industry. The individuals, concepts, companies and airports listed below beat out some serious competition to claim the honor of being named a finalist in one or more of 33 awards categories. AXN’s most nominated category for the 2024 awards was Best Local-Inspired Store, with 35 submissions. The industry also loved the Best Local-Inspired Restaurant category, with the large airport segment garnering 27 submissions and the medium/small segment getting nine submissions. Best Quick Serve Restaurant Concept and Best Casual Dining Concept each garnered more than 20 nominations as well. In January, the AX Awards Committee, comprised of 22 industry executives, made their selections based on information provided in the nominations. Those 22 individuals placed their votes in each category, with concessions representatives voting on airport awards and airport representatives voting on concessionaire awards. After voting was completed, the AX Team tallied the votes from committee members. Winners will be revealed at the 2024 Airport Experience Conference, to be held April 1-4 in Dallas.
