Newark Liberty International Airport's New Terminal A commenced operations in January 2023. A domestic terminal with 33 gates, it covers 1 million square feet and hosts over 50 retail and F&B locations. In its first year of operations, Newark Terminal A has successfully served over 15 million passengers and processed 6.4 million bags from 113,617 flights. The Terminal was named a World Airport Awards Best Terminal in the World Top 3 Finalist, became LEED Gold Certified, and won the 2024 Airport Business Project of the Year in Technology category.
