Airport Experience® News - Conference Issue 2025
A Collaborative Philosophy It’s this hands-on, collaborative philosophy that Conner Harris’ industry colleagues feel describes her perfectly. “From the beginning, through the challenges of opening concessions in a brand new terminal and learning in this industry, Tracy has always been there to answer my questions and offer support,” says Desiree Nazario-Bucobo , president and CEO of Sweet Mango Hospitality Corp. , adding that she admires Conner Harris’s “dedication, expertise and intellect” and appreciates “her strong advocacy for small businesses.” Ann Ferraguto, principal at consulting firm AirProjects notes that “in addition to being smart and accomplished, Tracy performs her work with grace, humor, humility, and integrity. She is always upbeat and a great business partner!” Conner Harris has “consistently demonstrated her passion for people and her unwavering commitment to excellence by elevating the airport’s concessions program as an industry leader,” adds Kate Webb, assistant vice president of concessions at MCO. “Her vision, leadership, and dedication have set new benchmarks for innovation and service at MCO. I am proud to witness the lasting influence Tracy has had on MCO throughout her remarkable career and feel privileged to be one of the many people she continues to inspire with her hard-won experience and unyielding positivity.” MCO chief administrative officer Yoannie Rodriguez notes that the concessions program has flourished under Conner Harris’ guidance. And beyond her technical expertise, “Tracy is an inspiring leader,” adds Rodriguez. “Her positive attitude and collaborative spirit foster a culture of trust and cooperation, both within her team and with external partners. She places great value on teamwork, encouraging open communication and mutual respect, which empowers those around her to excel.” MCO’s collaborative concessions strategy has also been a savvy business one. The airport recently opened a brand-new, 15-gate Terminal C, featuring a bevy of new dining and retail concepts, including a swath of local brands like Cask & Larder Public House & Provisions, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co., Cucina & Co., Ravenous Pig Bar & Bites, the Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites, Wine Bar George, Olde Hearth Bread Co., Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith, Orange County Brewers, and Raw Juce.
