Airport Experience® News - Post-Conference Issue 2024

The AX Awards Committee – a group of 24 industry executives divided into two camps: airports and operators – was then called into action. The airport executives were tapped to vote on the concept and concessions awards while the concession operators voted on the airport awards. For a few select awards, such as sustainability and technology, members of both groups were asked to cast their votes. After receiving votes from AX Awards Committee members, the AX team tallied the results. Winners were revealed at the Awards Gala on April 4. In addition to the award winners announced at the Gala, the event also put a spotlight on previously announced winners in select categories: the 2023 Airport Directors of the Year and the 2024 Property Manager of the Year, as well as the Founder’s Award. Also, AXN’s awards for Women in Leadership were announced during the conference’s Women in Leadership Breakfast on April 2.
